Rutgers University Parallel Computer is Beowulf cluster operated by Center for Materials Theory at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Beowulf cluster consists from more than 2500 CPUs/cores. Its computational power exceeds 18 Teraflops which ranks it among the most powerful Universities computing recourses in the USA. A powerful in house supercomputer facility can satisfy a broad variety of computer demands. One can do computations which require a lot of memory, or large disk space, or fast CPUs, or quick interconnect for intensive data exchange between nodes or any combination of the above requests. Diverse hardware and software structure of the Rutgers University Beowulf cluster makes possible to tackle and solve almost any scientific problem.
